Refund, Cancellation and Withdrawal Policy
Effective 1 November 2026. Read alongside the course offer and Terms and Conditions.
Cancellation before enrolment and the cooling-off period
An enquiry or initial application can be withdrawn without a course fee. For a consumer service contract agreed online or at a distance, the usual statutory cancellation period ends 14 days after the day the contract is made. We will supply the required cancellation information before enrolment. Where that information is not supplied, the period may be extended by law.
How to cancel
Send a clear statement to admissions@linconeducation.co.uk identifying yourself and the course and saying that you wish to cancel. You may use the model notice below, but it is optional. To meet a statutory deadline, send your cancellation before the period ends. We will acknowledge receipt.
Starting services during the cooling-off period
We will obtain your express request before starting chargeable services during the cancellation period. If you then cancel, a deduction may be made only where permitted by law and proportionate to the services supplied up to cancellation. Merely opening a portal account does not automatically justify a fixed administration deduction. A service cancellation right is lost after full performance only where the legal conditions, including your prior express request and acknowledgement, have been met.
Digital course materials
For digital content supplied without a physical medium, any loss of statutory cancellation rights requires your express consent to supply beginning during the cancellation period, your acknowledgement of the effect on cancellation rights and the required contract confirmation. We will request this separately where applicable. Simply submitting an application does not provide that consent.
Withdrawal after the cooling-off period
After statutory cancellation rights expire, a change of mind does not automatically entitle you to a refund. We will consider your agreed terms, applicable law and the circumstances. Remaining fees are not automatically waived by stopping a payment instruction, but we will not impose an unfair cancellation charge or demand sums that are not lawfully due.
Exceptional circumstances and transfers
Contact Admissions if illness or another serious difficulty affects your studies. We will consider a reasonable adjustment, deferral, transfer or discretionary refund as appropriate. Any agreed change to the course, price or payment dates will be recorded in writing. Evidence requested should be relevant and proportionate.
Refund payments and provider cancellation
For a valid statutory cancellation of a service contract, reimbursement will be made without undue delay and within 14 days after we are informed of the cancellation, subject only to lawful deductions. We normally use the original payment method, without a reimbursement fee. If LINCON cancels or fails to supply the contracted service, your statutory remedies remain available. Faulty digital content and deficient services are not excluded from remedies by this policy.
